Let us take a look at the pros and cons of this device. The phone ships with all the usual items and some extras include the headphone jack adaptor, the USB OTG cable and the screen protector. Once you pick the phone up, it becomes very obvious that this is a rugged phone. However, it has some custom features such as leatherback finish that is nice to touch.
The Doogee phone also has a multilayer cooling system and a dedicated gaming button. The device uses a sturdy metal frame, the buttons are responsive, and the overall build quality is very good. The phone is also 810n ip68 certified for water and dust resistance. Besides, it is shockproof, drop proof and it can survive under many severe conditions like 1069k standards. The phone is resistant to water pressures up to 100 bar and extreme temperatures up to 80 degrees.
Despite all these rugged properties, the phone is thin considering it has the massive 5500 battery that performs well. You could get about 14 hours of screen on time using the phone for the basic stuff like taking a lot of photographs and gaming for about 1 hour. The supplied fast charger charges the phone in just about 1 hour and 40 minutes, which is a great result. There is also a wireless charging feature which is convenient in practice. The display is also good overall. It is sharp, the colours are pretty accurate, and the outdoor visibility is also quite good.
The screen is also sensitive enough to work with a glove, which is a necessary requirement for a rugged phone. Other key features of the DOOGEE S70 includes a dual camera system on the back and a 16 MB shooter in the front. Unfortunately, there is no LED notification light and no headphone chat, but the sound with the supplied adapter is quite decent.
The fingerprint unlocking functions accurately, but it could be a tad faster. There is also a face recognition unlock feature, but it is less reliable than the fingerprint scanner. Finally, the last peculiar feature (using it as an audio player) is quite good for a budget rugged phone but the sound is slightly muffled.
The DOOGEE S70 ships with pretty standard hardware configuration, but the company claims that it comes with a customized chipset and a multilayer cooling system. The gaming button has been engineered to immediately switch to gaming mode which clearing all the applications to keep the CPU cool and is in constantly cooling mode to keep the CPU Cool and boost the CPU you by up to 60 %. The customized gaming console may feel pleasant, but its overall build is decent. It is comfortable to hold it. You simply connect it to the phone via Blue tooth, and you are good to go.
