Following the success of the Xiaomi A1 (Google version of the Xiaomi 5X) last year, Xiaomi has been brewing its successors and will be released this summer. Although the company has not confirmed, an online retailer has already decided to issue Xiaomi A2's pre-order orders and revealed some of its details. Just like Xiaomi A1, Xiaomi A2 is based on the transformation of Xiaomi 6X, Xiaomi 6X equipped with Snapdragon 660 processor, memory 4G/6G optional, storage is 32/64/128GB optional, does not support Micro-SD card expansion.
Last year, Xiaomi released the Android One smartphone Xiaomi A1 (the domestic version is called Xiaomi 5X), which is Google's joint smartphone Xiaomi built for emerging smartphones markets, and now Xiaomi A1 successor A2 quietly appeared.
Xiaomi A2 appeared in GeekBench: equipped with Snapdragon 660
On June 7th, Xiaomi A2 appeared on GeekBench running a sub-site with a single-core score of 1630 and a multi-core score of 4657. The Snapdragon 660 was equipped with 4GB of memory and was running an Android 8.1 system. From the specifications, it is easy to see that the configuration of Xiaomi A2 is exactly the same as that of the National Bank version of Xiaomi 6X, which also means that the phone may also provide 6GB+128GB high version.
Other specifications: 5.99-inch 2160*1080 display, rear 20+12 megapixels dual camera, Type-C interface, 3010mAh battery.
The difference between the Xiaomi A2 and the Xiaomi 6X is that the former is running a native Android system, rather than its own custom MIUI, can get Google update support for the first time. Xiaomi A2 will be equipped with a clean version of Android 8.1, and Android 9.0 updates should also be coming soon.
Currently, Xiaomi has not officially confirmed the equipment, but according to retailers, Xiaomi A2 will be on sale on August 8 and is expected to be officially released by the end of July. As for the price, 32GB is 290 US dollars, 64GB is priced at 330 US dollars, 128GB is 370 US dollars, and there are black and blue and gold color optional.
