According to "KTLA TV" reported that after a period of 3 weeks of testing, the Los Angeles International Airport officially opened the face recognition door on the 16th, there are two new doors installed at Tom Bradley International Terminal, when customers pass by requirements scanning passport, boarding pass and face, the all these three things need to be agreed.

Micro-chips are embedded in the newer passports, and the passport photo data is stored in the chip. According to the U.S. Air Transport Security Agency, LAX has a camera on the newly installed face recognition door that automatically takes passenger photos and compares it with the images in the microchip using a face-matching algorithm to verify that passengers and passports are above the same person. Just like many advanced smartphones, such as iPhone X, Samsung S8, Samsung Note 8, Vivo X20, Huawei Honor V10 and Xiaomi MIX 2. The Huawei Honor V10's depth camera also achieved 3D facial recognition, and from the technology media reviews, Huawei's facial recognition capabilities are more powerful than Apple's Face ID.

The Bureau of Transportation Safety anticipates that this facial recognition technology will help reduce manual labor dependency and speed up the security screening process, thereby reducing the waiting and queuing time.
